Trinity's Safeguarding Initiative helps Trinity implement best practices to protect the vulnerable and ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Trinity strongly encourages Safeguarding Training for all volunteers, and it is required for anyone working with any ministry involving children or vulnerable populations. If you have already completed the three aspects of the safeguarding training, thank you! If you have not yet done so and need to, please read on.

Safeguarding training consists of the following:
– Attend a one-hour training session (dates below).
– Complete the application form.
– Complete a background check. The cost for the background check is covered by Trinity. Please reach out to the director or leader of the ministry you’re involved with to start that process.

SAFEGUARDING TEAM

The Safeguarding Team comprises men and women from our church who developed Trinity's safeguarding policies based on feedback received from GRACE.

  • The Safeguarding Team is equipped to receive questions, concerns, and reports regarding abuse (all forms) and boundary violations within our church community* and encourages anyone with concerns to email them at safeguarding@trinitycville.org or speak in person with one of our team members.
  • Our Safeguarding Policy is expansive and detailed and is, therefore, a challenging read. We recommend making sure you are in a good physical space and mental state to engage with the topic before reading. Read our Safeguarding policy.

*Anyone who has information about a child being abused should immediately report such abuse to Child Protective Services or law enforcement prior to reporting such information to the Safeguarding Team.
