A New Jersey native, Katie Dickinson moved to Staunton in 2006 to attend Mary Baldwin University and fell in love with Virginia. After grad school at Ole Miss, she returned to the state and immediately met her now-husband Jonathan, who grew up going to Trinity. Over the years since then, she has guest conducted, subbed for rehearsals, and sung in the Trinity choir, but she is now thrilled to join as staff. Katie has held positions as both children's and adult choir directors at various churches in Virginia and Mississippi, but took a hiatus to travel and have a family. She holds a B.A. and an M.M. in choral conducting. When not involved in music making, Katie enjoys teaching fitness classes, date nights with her husband, homeschooling her three children, and tending her garden.
