Janae Kreines

Janae grew up in small-town Texas, with her life revolving around academics, choir, marching band, and church. After graduating high school and sojourning in the desert of New Mexico for a year, Janae moved to Philadelphia to pursue a B.M. in Music Theory and Voice at Temple University. In college, Janae became heavily involved in the youth and worship ministries at New Life Presbyterian Church, where she met Casey. After several years of friendship and ministry together, Casey and Janae married in 2017. In 2021, they joyfully welcomed their daughter, Vera Suzanne, into the world. From 2017–22, Janae worked (at least) nine jobs, including as a piano teacher, marketing assistant, nanny, English tutor, barista, and youth ministry leader. In May 2022, Janae and Casey moved to Charlottesville from Philadelphia to become the Interim Directors of Worship Arts at Trinity. Aside from playing music, Janae enjoys hiking, thrifting, a good mystery novel, and adventuring with Casey.
