Enrich your life. Deepen your faith. Explore God's Word.

One of the ways we seek to become like Christ is through our education hour, which takes place at 10:00am. Throughout the year, the whole church has opportunities to gather in Formation classes, designed to help us engage God’s word, embody faithful and formative practices together, and take up God’s invitation to bring our faith to bear in our households, our schools, our neighborhoods, and our places of work. In our adult classes, we study books of the Bible, or consider what scripture has to say about particular issues of our day, or particular seasons of our lives. We question and listen and pray in the confidence that God will lead us in the way of love.

Join for Politics and the Christian Life as we consider the following questions:

  • Why does politics so easily capture our energy and emotions? How does this reflect our creation in God’s image? How can it go wrong? And in what ways does the gospel affect our approach to these things?

  • How does the church’s mission relate to political life? Should pastors talk about politics, and if so, how?

  • What does the Bible teach concerning submission to governing authorities? How does this relate to our agency as citizens in a democracy? How should Christians steward their authority in the voting booth and in civic life?

  • How can we live together, especially as Christians, across political disagreements?
